Jr. Wildcats Falls To Three Corners

The South Burlington Jr. Wildcats lost to Three Corners 4-0 on Wednesday at Blue Mountain Union School.

 

Three Corners got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Ragan Covey singled to center field, and Oliver Sarazon grounded out, each scoring one run.

 

Will Smith led things off on the bump for the Wildcats. The starting pitcher gave up five hits and two runs over four innings, striking out none and walking one. Jake Roberts stepped on the hill first for Three Corners. The hurler surrendered one hit and zero runs over three innings, striking out five and walking two.

 

Jackson Young, Declan Scavone, and Dom Comtois each collected one hit for South Burlington. The Wildcats turned one double play in the game.

 

Leadoff hitter Liam Brooms led Three Corners with two hits in three at bats. Sarazon and Covey each drove in one run for Three Corners. Brooms and Matt McGovern each stole multiple bases for Three Corners. Three Corners ran wild on the base paths, collecting eight stolen bases for the game. Three Corners turned one double play in the game.

 

Next up for South Burlington is a doubleheader at VT Strikers 14U on Saturday.
