The South Burlington American Legion and Babe Ruth Baseball programs provide 13 to 19 year olds the opportunity to play baseball through the Vermont American Legion Baseball and the Babe Ruth Leagues. The program offer three levels of competition.
The Wildcats are a Senior American Legion team that is open to players who attend South Burlington, Burlington, and Rice Memorial High Schools. The Junior Wildats are a Babe Ruth team program is open to players from South Burlington and Burlington who are 13-16 years old. These teams are competitive and made-up through a tryout process. The coaching staff of the these teams are made up of current or former NCAA players or coaches and high school varsity coaches. Many former Wildcat players have gone on to successful NCAA careers.
The Babe Ruth team(s) will be made up of players who want to play at a less competitive level and is open to players from South Burlington. If a mininum number of players is not reached. The Babe Ruth President will work with the Babe Ruth Commissioner to find another Babe Ruth team for players to join or to recruit players from other towns.
